i was messing around with qiskit on my laptop last night and tried running a small random circuit sampling job on the aer simulator then timing it against a basic numpy matrix multiply loop doing the same thing. the quantum version spat out matching probabilities in under a second while the classical side started lagging even at 8 qubits, and the fidelity held without any extra error correction tricks.
anyone else compared their aer runs to plain python loops like that?
