Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to quantum computing and just starting to wrap my head around all the different hardware approaches out there-like superconducting qubits from IBM or Google, trapped ions from IonQ, and even photonic stuff from companies like Xanadu. It’s exciting but overwhelming!
With all these players racing ahead, what do you all think will end up being the “winner” in the long run? Like, which type of hardware seems most scalable and practical for real-world apps, say in the next 5-10 years? Or is it too early to call, and we’ll see hybrids taking over? I’d love to hear your takes, especially from folks who’ve been following this closely!
