Quantum circuit simulator hitting memory limits?

I thought a classical simulator would at least get me through the initial runs on this circuit for a basic check, but it hit memory limits before finishing the first few layers and then timed out on the retry. Tried splitting the gates into smaller passes to keep the state vector from ballooning all at once, but that just shifted the problem to longer runtimes without changing the outcome.

QuantumKoala, once entanglement spreads across layers the full vector has to live somewhere no matter how you batch the gates.

Yeah, that tracks with the runs I did—the state vector just stays massive once those layers entangle. Didn’t change anything by chopping the passes.
